Hmmm, colour me "not surprised". Looks like Central Casting noticed that some of the local congregation had an independent opinion on the proposed North Stoneville development. Luckily, the good people of the Archdiocese have kindly left a contact phone no. for you to express any feelings / opinions you may have. Good ONYA Anglican Parish of Mundaring for even trying.Over at the Mundaring Anglican Parish - seems there was a directive to remove a certain banner... Here's the sequence of events:

1. Banner appears in support of Save Perth Hills Rally on the 15th February 🤩
2. Banner is suddenly removed 😳
3. The same banner then appears across the street 😉
4. The official parish signage removes the regular psalm message and posts a directive to call the Anglican Diocese... which we absolutely encourage.

Hit the phones people ☎️☎️☎️☎️☎️☎️☎️☎️☎️
And in case you missed it, the number is 9425 7200...

ACTION: Be sure to ask for Keith Stephens. He's the Diocesan Secretary. But be ready, Keith will tell you everything is normal, that the planning process is legit (see pub test challenge) and that Satterley is the right man for the job... Nothing to see here? Let the Anglican Diocese of Perth know that the times have changed and that Australia's Black Summer of 2020 has altered everything. The planning decisions of the 1990's are not fit for the 2020's and beyond. North $toneville MUST be SCRAPPED! Oh and when you to get to the Diocese - no prizes for guessing who they tell you to contact? Nigel Satterley!! So much for engaging with the community...

1. The original sign was requested by members of the Mundaring Anglican Parish concerned about the North Stoneville development.
2. Save Perth Hills spoke to the Echo newspaper about covering the story on the Diocese order to remove the sign. A few days later the message to contact the Anglican Diocese went up.

Let us know in the comments below how you go with calling up the Anglican Diocese of Perth on 9425 7200...

A favourite eatery in the Hills (further over on the scarp) going the extra distance to close the circle on waste & energy. Good stories like this deserve to be shared. ONYA La Fattoria Perth Hills .Food's pretty good too we hear 🙂This article popped up in the paper the other week. You may have read it.....

Our little family business....that not only grows food in our orchard and vege patch for our kitchen but offers a food and wine experience..... aims for zero waste and a sustainable approach to keep unnecessary cost down and minimise our environmental footprint.

Throwing food away breaks my heart!! As experienced La Fattorians understand, booking for our Nonna's Family Table experience is done with precision where I cook to the last portion and communication on the day of your booking is often a last minute toggle to get it right....most times!!

I love how you've taken this on to help us ensure we continue to avoid unnecessary waste of precious food...

Since opening our home to you in 2016 we've managed to afford solar panels to pull back demands on the power we draw.

Installing a "smart kitchen" which is power and water efficient takes the pressure off our water which is collected from the roof and stored in tanks. We are not on scheme so every drop counts up here....which is why we can proudly offer rainwater and sparkling rainwater free from the flavour of a swimming pool!!

Finally all waste water is treated in an ATU and recycled to almost perfection......watering some of our vineyard....

So when you visit La Fattoria Perth Hills, you can know that we are doing almost everything we can to reduce our footprint on this special piece of land up here in the Perth Hills.....and you've been very much a part of this process....

So thanks a mill for helping us achieve this.

Oh.....and the magical view and clean air is just part of the package...and that's free!!

See you up the hill soon.

Cheers Eric and Lucy
